“I believe it is a privilege to be able to support clients so they can maintain or improve their living situation.”
John Powers, LCSW
When you are looking
for help for yourself or your family member, you want someone who will provide very personalized service, be supportive, and
creative in coming up with care solutions. This is what I strive for.
Just a little background, I received my Master’s degree in Social
Work from the University of Wisconsin at Madison, and have over twenty years of professional experience. The first half of my career, I served developmentally disabled persons and their families. My professional focus then switched and since that time, I have served seniors and individuals with physical disabilities
and brain injury.
Accolades from fellow professionals:
-
“I
found him to be an excellent resource for my practice. He was able to size up
difficult situations and provide appropriate guidance to use the resources available...
Often he helped set up the necessary meetings to expedite the decision making when difficult choices needed to be made
around placement or level of care.” ... Stuart Ferguson, M.D.
-
“He is caring
and articulate in his interactions with patients and their families. . . He is creative in matching persons-in-need to services
available.” ... Susan Foulkes, LCSW, Director of Social Work, Centura Senior Life Center
